Mark Engebretson of PK Lake passed away from a long battle with cancer on March 22, 2015 at Graham, Texas. Mark was born at Stephenville, Texas on September 10, 1947 to Oscar and Ethel Engebretson. Mark was a well known Newspaper Editor for the Lake Country Sun, an author of three western novels, had received many newspaper awards, and was also an actor in the Legend of Hells Gate. Mark was an EMT for the Volunteer Fire Department for PK East. Mark served in the US Army, he was a Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class. Mark also served with the CIA and FBI and Secret Service guarding the US Presidents. The family is holding memorial services 2 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the PK Chamber of Commerce. Mark is survived by his wife: May Engebretson of PK Lake, daughters: Patti Carter of Pennsylvania, Tracy Brown of Cisco, Shellie Brock of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: Courtney Brown, Megan Brown, Elizabeth Brock, Jessica Veach, Nathan Crites, and Sammy Cox, brothers: Terry Engebretson of La Place, Louisiana, Frederick (Scooter) Moore of Texas, and a host of friends, neighbors, and family members.
