Marjorie Faye Johnson, 87, passed away July 12, 2011 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born February 1, 1924 in Stephenville the daughter of Osburn Andrew and Mable Mae Higgins Grissett. She married Lloyd Johnson on June 15, 1947 in Perrin. She moved to Mineral Wells in 1941 and went to work for Southwestern Bell in May of 1942. She also worked for the Civil Service in their Communication Department. She also helped her husband run his business by keeping the books. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for many years and served as a Sunday School Teacher. Services will be 10 AM Friday, July 15, 2011 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Tommy Pophin and Rev. Guy Weathers officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Carla Jo and Billy Taylor of Mineral Wells, grandchildren and spouses: Brandy and Donnie Hall of Longview, Nikki and Jarrod Wyatt of Pell City, Alabama, Rowdy and Amy Lawson of Mineral Wells, great-grandchildren: Mason and Colby Hall, Brailey and Gunner Lawson, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her husband on January 17, 2003.
