Marilyn Mae Hanks

Marilyn Hanks of Mineral Wells, Texas went with Jesus to her new home on Monday, November 30, 2020.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Chapel. A private family burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. No flowers please; make donations to Kindred Hospice. They gave mother excellent care and cared for our family as well.

Marilyn threw the Mineral Wells Index and Fort Worth Star Telegram to Palo Pinto Lake for 13 years. She enjoyed reading, recycling, church and church events, all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved her baby dogs, Dollar, Reta, and Jewels. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Hanks; parents, Archie and Alice Hughes; 2 brothers, George Hughes and Howard Leon Hughes; two sisters Jean Johnson and Marita Treft; two great-grand kids, Autume and Brooke Pierce.

Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Rosetta and Ted Griffin of Mineral Wells and Malinda Ray of Plainview; three grandchildren, Brandy and Branden Pierce of Healdton, Ok, Jeffery Griffin of Mineral Wells, Curtis and Danielle Floyd of Healdton, Ok; 5 great-grandkids, Kira Pierce, Kreed Pierce, Kain Griffin, and Paisley Grace Floyd; numerous extended family and friends.
