Marie "Penny" Sitton, 90, passed away peacefully from this life April 30, 2013 in a Waco nursing home. She was born June 19, 1922 in Tullos, Louisiana the daughter of Henry and Ruth Spears Pendarvis. She married Charlie Leeman Sitton on June 24, 1945 in Fort Worth. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells. She was a Christian. She and her husband owned and operated Sitton Watch Hospital for many years in California and Mineral Wells. Services will be 10 AM Friday, May 3, 2013 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Jim Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her brother: Billy Joe Pendarvis, sister: Myrtle Mellichamp, sister-in-law: Angie Sitton of Perrin, nieces: Jacquie Karen Johnson and husband Eddie of Valley Mills, Vicki Sitton of Mineral Wells, nephews: Joe Sitton and wife Janice of Perrin, Ronnie Sitton of Oran, and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 27, 1997, sister: Mae Belle Schmidt, sons: Chuck and Glen Sitton, brothers-in-law: L. B. Sitton, and Cecil Sitton, and sister-in-law: Verna Sitton. Special thanks to niece Jacquie Karen Johnson for the loving care that she gave to Penny.
