Margaret Nell (Wiggins) Strain was born June 3, 1934, to Ruel Clyde and Ava Maurine (Milner) Wiggins in Perrin, Texas. She lived a very full life and passed away peacefully in her home on February 18, 2025, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She graduated from Mineral Wells High School, class of 1951. Margaret married the love of her life, Estes Dale Strain, on June 5, 1953; they shared 71 years together and had two sons, Jerry Dale and Clyde Ward. Margaret devoted her life to her family, she was a lifelong homemaker and helped Dale field calls for his business, Strain Service Company. Margaret’s greatest joy was raising her children and spending time with her granddaughters, Kelly and Jerri, and great-grandkids, Kyli and Kooper. She was known for her incredible cooking – especially her homemade bread. Margaret was a lifelong member of Central Methodist and was very active in the church; she had nearly every hymn memorized. Margaret baked the bread used for communion for many years. Margaret and Dale both loved going on Antique Motorcycle Club trips and she was proud of the award she won for the longest distance traveled on a hardtail motorcycle. She enjoyed dancing with the Silver Steppers, singing with the Silver Notes, and was a member of the MWHS 50 Year Club. Margaret loved collecting many different types of antiques; clocks, various types of China and depression glass, but she was most proud of her immense doll collection. Margaret made an impact on all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
