Margaret Lee Phillips

Margaret Lee Phillips, 87 of Mineral Wells went to be with our Lord on July 16, 2011. Visitation will be at Baum Carlock Bumgardner at 6PM on Tuesday July 19, 2011 with services being held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 10AM on Wednesday July 20, 2011.She was born in Carmel, Indiana on November 16, 1923 to her parents Orville C. and Maggie Hammons Smith. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church; her heart was always with her church, even though she was unable to attend for many years, and watching Mass on television gave her great comfort. She moved to Mineral Wells in 1960, as her late husband SFC. Walter Phillips was stationed at Fort Walters.Margaret was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW for many years, and a past member of the Palo Pinto Lady Lions Club. Survivors include daughter Dot and husband Ron McWilliams, son Robert S. and wife Sandy Phillips all of Mineral Wells. Daughter-in-law Linda Phillips, grandsons Tony and Donald, granddaughter Chris Phillips and great grandson Eric Phillips all of Weatherford. Brothers Jim Smith, Wayne T. and wife Betty Smith, sister Mary L. Hardin along with numerous nieces and nephews all of Indianapolis, Indiana. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, son James L. Phillips, brothers George Smith, Lewis Smith and his wife Ruth and their son Jimmy, Ernie Ray Petty and sister-in-law Jo Smith. Margaret will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
