Margaret Amelia Moore Medlin, 97, of Mineral Wells, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Service is 2:00pm on Friday, February 6th, 2009 at First Baptist Church Mineral Wells with Rev. James Bond and Rev. Ferel Gage officiating. Burial will follow at the Palo Pinto Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Medlin, Mark Medlin, Allen Barham, Chase Barham, Chris Barrington and Robert Davis and honorary pallbearers will be Owen Ramsey, Ricky Medlin, Larry Harrington, Gary Medlinand Barry Foreman. Visitation is Thursday 6-8 pm at the funeral home.Margaret lived in Palo Pinto County for the last 60 years. She was born May 6, 1911, the daughter of William Haskell Moore and Tommie Lee McGhee in Todd County Kentucky. She met her loving husband Forest Medlin and was married on August 22, 1931. After marrying, she was a homemaker until she and Forest worked together in a family grocery store. After raising three boys, she also worked for the United States Postal Service. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church Palo Pinto and First Baptist Church Mineral Wells.Margaret was a kind, loving woman who loved the Lord and took pride in sharing His message throughout her life. She served in many different areas of the church over her lifetime and touched many with her humor and quick wit. Her hobbies included bridge, quilting, fishing, reading, cooking and spending time with family. She was a huge sports fan of baseball and football.She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Bill and Marge Medlin, and Earl and Linda Medlin, daughter-in-law Nora Barnum, grandchildren Mark Medlin, Shelley Ramsey and husband Owen, Leslee Barham and husband Allen all of Mineral Wells, Fawn Barrington and husband Chris of Fort Worth, Dawn Foreman and husband Barry of Mineral Wells, Jenny Lopez and husband Leander of Mineral Wells, Daniel Medlin of Palo Pinto, Gary Medlin and wife Teresa of Palo Pinto, Ricky Medlin of Mineral Wells, Kathy Davis and husband David of Fort Worth, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Forest Medlin, son, Pete Medlin, sisters Catherine, Alva, Willie, Natalie, and brother Earl Moore.
