Marcus O. Gonzales

Marcus O. Gonzales, 89, passed away March 9, 2017 at his home in Mineral Wells. He was born December 17, 1927 in Santa Anna the son of Fidencio and Susie Ornelas Gonzales. He married Aurora "Aline" Nunez on July 10, 1950 in Brownwood. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He owned and operated El Chico Mexican Restaurant for many years. Mass will be 10 AM Monday, March 13, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. The Rosary is Sunday at 6 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his children and spouses: Robert and Marsha Gonzales of Mineral Wells, Linda and Gabriel Moreno of Mineral Wells, Gilbert and Melissa Gonzales of Grand Prairie, Joanne and Nick Lashmet of Arlington, Mary and Edward Moreno of Granbury, Virginia Gonzales of Mineral Wells, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife on October 14, 2015, grandson: Jeremy San Miguel in 2006, and his brothers: John, Joe, and Po Gonzales.
