Luther Lollar

Luther Staley Lollar, 89, passed away November 16, 2012 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born May 18, 1923 in Sparta, Tennessee the son of Luther H. and Martha Green Lollar. He married Gladys Kurtz on December 27, 1952 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He was a retired veteran of the US Army and the Marines having served in WWII and in Vietnam twice. He was a highly decorated officer. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and retired from the military at Fort Wolters. Graveside services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Staggs Prairie Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Amanda and Larry Crittenden of Mineral Wells, son: Michael Lollar, grandsons: Justin and Matthew, granddaughter: Mitzi, and numerous other family in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife: Gladys Lollar on December 18, 1993.
