Louis Marshall Barnett, 82, of Mineral Wells, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland Park Cemetery with Wesley and Casey Stevens, Donald and Chad Meese, Johnny Traylor and David Wells serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 6-8PM Saturday.Louis was born July 25, 1928, in Haskell, Texas, the son of Johnny William and Gertrude Laura Sanders Barnett and moved to Mineral Wells in 1940. He worked at Murphy Gravel Pit, the Brickyard and the City of Mineral Wells and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He married Bessie Ruth Royer in Jacksboro, and she preceded him in death February 16, 1978.Survivors include his children, Marshall and wife Linda Barnett of Mineral Wells, Linda Traylor and husband Johnny of Bokeshe, OK and Joyce and Thomas Almanza of Mineral Wells; eight grandchildren and elevengreat-grandchildren; brother, Charles Edward Barnett of Mineral Wells; sisters, Ruby Bottorff and Norma Dinwiddie of Mineral Wells and Minnie Green of Gainesville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend of over 30 years, Geraldine Howeth. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Carl Levi, "J.B.", Leo and Roy Lee Barnettand three sisters, Elsi, Nelly and Laura Bell.
