Lou Emma Merritt Warren

Lou Emma Merritt Warren, 86, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away June 28, 2010 at her home in Mineral Wells. She was born July 27, 1923 in Rising Star. She was the 7th of 13 children. Emma "Granny" was a devoted mother and grandmother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was a member of North Oak Church of Christ. Services will be 10 AM Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with William Eudy officiating. Burial will follow in Sturdivant Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her daughters: Jean Getsko, Janice Buckman and husband Tom, sons: Jay Warren and wife Ginny, Steve Warren and wife Chris, and sisters: Nora Turner, and Reba Reedy. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years John Jay Warren, son: John Anderson Warren 4 months old, and son-in-law: Joe Getsko.
