Lottie Ethel Galyean Scott passed away January 20, 2012. She was born August 8, 1915 in Alba, Texas the daughter of James Garfield Galyean and Annie Cora English Galyean. She married Cecil Orbie Scott December 27, 1938 at Snyder, Texas, and he preceded her in death in 1993. Lottie and Orbie Scott lived their entire married life in West Texas. Their final retirement home was in Mineral Wells, Texas. Lottie left Texas in 1995 to live with her son-in-law and daughter, Jim and Darlene Keene, in Rochester, MN, and later moved to Washington State, where she continued to live with the Keenes, until the time of her death. Lottie's death was the result of complications following pneumonia. Lottie enjoyed cooking for extended family gatherings, and was active in Baptist churches in each community, where she lived. Communities and churches of special memory in Texas include First Baptist Church in Monahans, Immanuel Baptist Church in Brownfield, and First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. Her last church of attendance was First Baptist Church in Zillah, Washington. Visitation Friday Feb. 3rd from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Service will be at First Baptist Church at 1 PM on Sat. Feb 4th with burial following at Woodland Park Cemetery. She is survived by one child: Tonye Darlene Scott Keene, one grandson, Scot Keene, his wife Catherine, and their son (Lottie's great-grandson) Conrad Keene. one granddaughter: Joiann Keene and various nieces, nephews, and their families. She was also preceded in death by Parents: James Garfield Galyean and Annie Cora English Galyean, and siblings: Herman, Sidney, Edgar, Rue, and Edna Galyean.
