Lonnie Elton Short

Lonnie Elton Short, 77, passed away October 12, 2014 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born February 2, 1937 in Lodi, Oklahoma the son of Chester and Edna Erwin Short. He married Louise Dudley on October 26, 1953 in Pecos. He retired from Cantex after working there for 30 years. He was a longtime resident of Perrin and a member of the Perrin Church of Christ. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Perrin Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Louise Short of Perrin, sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Nancy Short of Mineral Wells, Ronnie and Carla Short of New Castle, Jerry and Karen Short of New Castle, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son: Larry Short, and two half brothers.
