Lois Garland

Lois Avon Garland, 63, of Mineral Wells, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at her home. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Rev. Franklin Roop will officiate. Burial will be in the Staggs Prairie Cemetery. Billy Garrett, Curtis Gonce, Bradley Boone, Caleb Foster, Pat Ingersol and Phillip Gilley will be pallbearers. Mrs. Garland was born November 23, 1945 in Millsap, Texas, the daughter of Arby and Lillian Stephens Garrett. She married Alvin Garland, October 6, 1964 in Mineral Wells and was a member of the Millsap Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Alvin Garland of Mineral Wells; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Roy Patterson and Sally and Jody Rogoski of Mineral Wells; grandchildren; Shayla Furr and Raylynd Rogoski of Mineral Wells; sister, Barbara Garrett of Graford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Orville "Snake" and Twila Garrett, Bill and Susie Garrett and Dale Garrett of Mineral Wells; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Genia Gilley in 1998, four sisters, a brother and her parents.
