Linda Mae Green

d. January 1, 1900

Linda Mae Green, our loving mother, Granny, sister, and friend went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.Linda was a lifelong resident of Mineral Wells and a local beauty operator for the last 40 years. She worked at Emerald Lane Salon alongside some of the finest stylists. Before that, she worked at Brazos Super Cuts and even had her own salon for a number of years. She was fun-loving, spunky, and at times, just a little ornery. She could light up a room and have even the most serious of people laughing and cutting up, including her favorite doctor, Kevin Jones. She really was loved by all and that was apparent in the amount of friends she had. Some of her best friends, Darlene Butler, Ginger Looney, and Wilma Collum preceded her in death and we believe they showed her the way home. She is survived by her other best friends, Yvette Bone, Pat Ralph, Barbara Knight, and Charlotte Waite. She was supported by her work family for the last year. Debbie O'Shields, Darla Holub, and Misti Taylor were her angels. These girls worked unselfishly doing Linda's client's hair and forwarding the money to Linda. You three have no idea how much you meant to her and her family. We would like to thank all those who helped us take care of our dear Linda. She fought a good fight and was truly an admiration to those who fought alongside her. Our hearts are heavy - we will miss her so.Visitation will be Friday June 12, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will be Saturday 2pm in the funeral home chapel; burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Linda was born in Mineral Wells; the daughter of Leon and Thelma (Warren) Wells. She had a way with people and touched everyone that she came in contact with; if you ever met her you loved her. Linda will be missed by so many. She leaves behind daughters, Shannon and husband Chris Bell and Paula Cross and fiancé Lance Wampler; sister, Barbara and husband Freddie Mask; brothers, Pat and wife Penny Wells, Kenneth and wife Donna Wells, Donald and wife Louise Wells; grandsons, Joey Cross and fiancé Felicia Gonzales, Jerry Littlepage and wife Amanda, Scout and Sawyer Wampler; granddaughters, Desiree Bell, Autumn Bell, Brooke Bell and Alexa Creamer; sister-in-law, Lois Oakley and husband Danny; nieces, Leann Castleschouldt, Cheryl Mendolia, and Angela Golden; nephews, Doug Mask and Casey Wells; 2 step-sons, Ricky and Joe Green and 2 step-daughters, Tina Littlepage and Tracy Green, along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
