Lillian Ellen Yates of Mineral Wells passed away at her home on October 11, 2012 and entered her loving Lords arms. She was born in Rotan, Texas, the daughter of William Carl and Stella (Warren) Martin. Lillian had one of the most strenuous jobs there was, a homemaker; she was tough but very loving and lived for her family. When not caring for her family she loved to spend time in the garden where she produced some of the most beautiful flowers. She was also involved in flower and garden clubs. She was a strong Christian and loved to go to church; this is where her strong family values came from. She leaves behind sisters, Geneva Thompson and Betty James Forbs; brothers, Anson, Iven and Kenneth Martin; grandson, Chester Yates; great grandchildren, Jamie Shadden, Jennifer Yates and James and his wife Jacey Yates; great-great grandchildren, Emily Sullinger, Aden Sullinger and Addison Yates. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2009; son, Carl Chester Yates Sr. and two brothers, Eddy and Willie Martin. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6 P.M at the funeral home; the service is scheduled for Monday October 15, 2012 at Ballew Springs Church at 2 P.M with burial following at Woodland Park Cemetery.
