Leroy Blocker

Leroy Blocker, 82, passed away June 10, 2009 in a Dallas nursing home. He was born December 8, 1926 in Salesville the son of Robert Lee and Rosa Gertrude Shewmake Blocker. He had lived in Whitt since 1988 and was a Baptist. He married Helen Poil on January 25, 1958 in Dallas. He was a veteran of the US Army. Graveside services will be 2 PM Friday, June 12, 2009 at Salesville Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie DeArmond officiating. He is survived by his brother: Herschel Blocker of Dallas and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 17, 1987, parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
