Leonard Mixon, 84, passed away April 25, 2012 in a Granbury assisted living facility. He was born March 15, 1928 in Mineral Wells the son of B. C. and Minnieola Richards Mixon. He married Alma Ruth Ranspot on August 23, 1949 in Mineral Wells. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and a lifetime member of the VFW. He worked for Wes-Tex Vending for many years running routes, and servicing and repairing machines. Services will be 10 AM Monday, April 30, 2012 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Alton Mixon officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. He is survived by his children: Ken Mixon of Granbury, Renita McClendon of Springtown, grandchildren: Tim Mixon of Mineral Wells, Ryan Warrner of Granbury, Sylena McClendon of Ponder, Robert "Chris" McClendon of Springtown, great-grandchildren: Danica Stout, Maricella Nichole, Seth McClendon, brother: B. C. Mixon of Athens, and sister: Shirley Ruth Crawford of Strawn. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 1, 2007, and his parents.
