Leon Lee Groves

Leon Lee Groves, 91, was born on May 9, 1924 to Virgil and Sally Roberts Groves. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Lee's service will be Friday, March 4, 2016 at 1:00pm at Hampton Vaughan at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was preceded in death by the love of his life - Louise Groves, brothers and sisters Oral, Leonard, Opha, Margaret, and Oneida, and one son-in-law Todd Tuggle.Lee married Louise on March 21, 1944 in Kansas. Lee and Louise lived in Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma City before moving to Wichita Falls in the 1950s and to Possum Kingdom Lake in 1969. They owned and operated Groves Plumbing in both Wichita Falls and on Possum Kingdom Lake. The family business is still serving the lake community and this January celebrated 50 years. They retired to Mineral Wells in 1984.Pap is survived by four children, a son Kirby Groves and Katherine, and three daughters Melanie McGrath, Ladonna Tuggle and Tony, and Madonna Tuggle. Six grandchildren - Kevin & LynDee Groves, Kerry & Cheryl Groves, Megan Rossman, Randi Tuggle, Lori & Phillip Waddell and Brandyn & Ashley Tuggle. Seven great grandchildren - Russell Groves, Brian & Lauren Groves, Lance & Amanda Groves, Corey Groves, Casey Cannon, Jacob Rossman, McKenzie Waddell, and Tayton Tuggle. Great great grandchildren Hayden Groves, Kain Simental, and Kambrey Groves. Lee is also survived by one sister in law - Naomi Groves and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
