Lena Inez Meeks

Lena Inez Meeks, 77, of Mineral Wells, Tx passed away Monday, December, 23 2024. She was born to Jack and Doris McFadden on November 28, 1947 in Mineral Wells, Tx. 

 Inez married the love of her life, Lynn Meeks on November 9, 1967. They had a beautiful marriage of 52 years before Lynn preceded her in death. They have three daughters, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. 

 To know Inez was to love her, she was known for her servants heart and loved everyone around her. She would give you food, clothes, advice anytime you needed it. If you needed anything she could find it at a garage sale for you also. She could cook for an army and loved to feed her family and tended to generations of children through the years and continued to keep up with so many of them into their adult years with all the love in her heart. She adored her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with a passion. She was a cherished member of the Mineral Wells COG all her life. 

 Inez is survived by three daughters, Shelly Salas and spouse Manuel of Mineral Wells, Lindy Gore and spouse Daniel of Lindale, and Tiffany Meeks of Mineral Wells; six grandchildren, Kolten Gonzales and spouse Kurstyn, Kaitlyn Mahaney and spouse Taylor, Manuel Salas, Victoria Salas, Oak Gore and Omara Gore; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hudson, and Hadley Gonzales, JaiLee and Kahne Christopher, Holland and Holt Mahaney; her brother, Phil Phelps and spouse Betty of Independence, KS; sisters; Sharon Jontra of Tyler, Alvetta Bishop and spouse Joe of DeLeon; brothers-in-law, Joe Moore of Mineral Wells, and JimBob Meeks of Mineral Wells; sisters-in-law, Diane McFadden of Lipan, Tx, Trina McFadden of Mineral Wells, Tx, Doreen Trejo and spouse Barney of Mineral Wells, Tx; and countless nieces, nephews & cousins.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lynn Meeks. Brothers; Bob, Richard, Thomas and Marvin McFadden and sisters Jackie Moore and MaryJane Gilley. 

 Viewing will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Mineral Wells Church of God (2501 SE 14th Ave, Mineral Wells, Tx) from 5pm-7pm. Funeral services Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Mineral Wells Church of God at 2pm.
