LeAnn Ball Watkins, age 47 of Mineral Wells, beloved wife, mother, daughter,sister and precious friend slipped peacefully from this earthly life to singwith the angels in the early morning hours on Thursday September 24, 2009surrounded by her loving family. She won her victory after a valiant andcourageous 13 year battle with breast cancer, never wavering in her faithand fighting the battle with boundless grace and dignity. She truly was aninspiration to so very many with her servant's heart and love of her Lord.Her beautiful voice lifted in songs of praise was one of her many gifts.Memorial Service and Celebration of her life will be held Saturday September26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Church of Christ, Mineral Wells, TX.,with William Eudy officiating , assisted by Scott Sheppard and RaymondSchultz. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6:00 to8:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center at Southside Church of Christ . AtLeAnn's request you are asked to wear bright colors in her honor.Katrina LeAnn Ball was born October 12, 1961 in Mineral Wells, TX. Shegraduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1980. After attending AbileneChristian University, she returned home and worked for several years at theformer First National Bank of Mineral Wells. She married Donnie Ray Watkinson August 16, 1986. Following the birth of their son Colton Don Watkins in1990, she joined the family business, Wes-Tex Vending taking the companyinto the computer age. Her greatest dream was to see her son grown and tovisit the Grand Canyon, achieving both in 2008. She loved to crochet, butwon numerous awards for her first love, cross-stitch. She gave freely ofher time and talents to her family and her church family, through Suppin'with the Saints, Iron Springs church camp and in recent years, Southside's"Opportunity Camp". She never let her chemo get in the way of going tocamp. Her indomitable spirit will be sorely missed. We are all betterbecause she graced our lives.LeAnn is survived by her beloved husband Donnie, son Colton of OklahomaChristian University, parents Richard and Connie Ball, sisters TonjaTrammell and husband Jimmy of Mineral Wells, Susan Hildreth and husbandDavid of Weatherford, Terri Murphy of College Station, brothers Tim Hopkinsand wife Amy of Mineral Wells and Jim Johnson and wife Tabitha of Bigfork,MT. Father and Mother-in-law, Ray and Carol Watkins of Ripley, OK, sisterin law Susan Champion and husband Frank of Perkins, OK. Several belovednieces and nephews.
