Lawrence "Larry" Allen Moss

Lawrence Allen Moss passed from this world on August 12th, 2021, at the age of 79, in Mineral Wells, Texas. Larry was born July 4th, 1942, to James Lew Moss and Arvie Aline Henderson Moss, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1960 and later in life earned an Associate Bachelor Degree at Weatherford College. In 1965, Larry met his love, Bobbi Kaye Lewis, and they were married August 10, 1968, when they eloped to Perry, Oklahoma. Larry was a Sergeant in the Marine Corp, serving as an aircraft mechanic for the VMA 214 Black Sheep Squadron bombers. He was a cowboy, a ranch foreman, a house mover and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patsy Hyte and Ann Moss, brother Paul Moss, father-in-law Carl Lewis, mother-in-law Ruby Lewis, and brother-in-law Skip Lewis. Larry’s family cherish their memories with him as husband, father, grandad, great grandad, brother, and uncle. They are his wife, Bobbi Moss; children, Hank Moss (Kim), Kaylynn West (Jesse), Travis Moss; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Cody), Hunter, Autumn (Ismael), Asia, Lauren, Liam, Lake, and Bethany; as well as four great grandchildren, Bryndal, Jett, West, Abella; twin sister, Mickie Watkins; brother, Rick Moss; sister-in-law, Jody Ventris; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Larry will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 at Indian Creek Baptist Church in Mineral Wells, Texas. In Lieu of flowers, because Larry loved the cowboy way of life and enjoyed rodeo and livestock shows, the family asks that donations be made in his name to The Palo Pinto County Livestock Association, P.O. Box 281, Mineral Wells, Tx. 76068.
