Larry Eugene Ward, Sr.

Larry Eugene Ward Sr. (69) of Mineral Wells, TX passed away quietly on Friday, October 25, 2024 at his home after a brief illness. 

 Larry was born on May 11, 1955. He was the fourth child of five born to Frankie and Cecil Ward Jr. He attended Sunset High School in Hayward, California. He entered the Armed Forces at a young age and honorably served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp. 

 Upon being discharged he attended Chabot College in Hayward, California. On July 27, 1982 Larry married Georgia Ann Burrows in Reno, NV. Four children were born to their union. 

 Larry was a hard worker. He worked various jobs including STEC, The Crazy Water Hotel, Corrosion Eliminators and the Mineral Wells Senior Care Center. He had a zest for life and great love for his family and friends. 

 Larry loved football and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved camping, fishing, western movies, classic sitcoms, and weekend BBQS with family and friends. 

 He was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Ann, his parents Cecil and Frankie Ward, his brother Gary F. Ward, his sister Floradena Gordon, his sister/niece Serena M. Johnson, his granddaughter Alicia Villa and his grandsons Joshua and Xander Villa. 

 Those remaining to cherish his memory include the following: His sisters: Brunetta Armstrong of Oakland CA, Cecilia Hall (Samuel) of Mineral Wells, TX. His Children: Nicole Ann Ward- Villa (Charles) of Corpus Christi, TX, Larry Eugene Ward Jr. of San Antonio TX, Tasha Marie Ward of Mineral Wells TX and Divone Lee Ward of Mineral Wells, TX. His Grandchildren: Kadias Bonner, Kasha Bonner, Zoraida Ward, Angelo Ward, Anthony Allen, George Martinez, Brettani Gomez, Isreal Martinez. His Great-grandchildren: Quantavius Caldwell, Azzmee Caldwell, Zelena Ward, Zuri S.Ward, Joshua Smith Jr., Naveya Martinez, Isreal Martinez II, Dionte Gomez Jr, James Gomez Jr., Kehlani Gomez, Elizabeth Gomez, Noah Martinez, Maxton Martinez and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
