Lifelong volunteer firefighter/EMS, Larry Eugene O'Neil, 58, died October 25, 2015, while serving others in the line of duty in Lone Camp, Texas. A memorial service celebrating Larry's life will be held at the Lone Camp Baptist Church, Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the Lone Camp Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, Friday, October 30 from 6-8 pm. Larry was born in Texas City, Texas, October 8, 1957, the son of Thomas and Eileen (Heddles) O'Neil. He married his loving wife, Jo Lynn (Coupland) O'Neil, on December 6, 1996, in La Porte, Texas. He graduated from La Porte High School in 1977 and began his 40-year firefighting career at the age of 18 in La Porte. Larry was a current officer of the Lone Camp Volunteer Fire Department. He served as interim Palo Pinto County Fire Marshall from May to August 2014. He lived his life helping others and will be greatly missed. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Tiffany Lynn Coupland. Survivors include: his wife, Jo Lynn; son, Robert O'Neil; grandson, Jordan O'Neil; brothers, Tommy (Janie), Donny (Susan), Terry (Christine), and Gary (Andrea) O'Neil. Also, surviving are In-laws, Bob and Allene Coupland; Gary (Vicki) and Larry Coupland, and Leslie Carnahan along with numerous nieces and nephews that loved him so much.
