Lafayette Sadler, Sr. passed away June 2, 2019 in Mineral Wells. He was born August 28, 1950 to John B. Sadler, Jr. and Katie J. Sadler. Lafayette attended Mineral Wells High School where he graduated in 1969. He worked at Texas Packaging (The Box Factory) for over 14 years as a machine operator and would later retire in 2015. Since then, he enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife Linda of 20 years. He also enjoyed traveling and attending church. Lafayette was a very faithful and active member of Assembly of God in Christ Church for well over a decade under the leadership of Pastor Roy L. Baker, Sr. whom he also called friend. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Linda M. Sadler; children, Lafayette Sadler, Jr., Lawerence Graves and Demetrius Sadler of Mineral Wells, April Sadler, Chantz Sadler of Weatherford, Shalinda Meeks of Charlotte, NC; brothers and sister, LTC (R) Dexter Sadler of San Antonio, Clarence Eugene Sadler of Killeen, and Pastor Pauline Rosco (Bishop Demetrius) of Birmingham, AL; 17 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The Homegoing Celebration for Bro. Lafayette will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Mount Herman Baptist Church located at 616 SE 4th Ave., Mineral Wells, TX.
