Lafayette Cowley

Lafayette "Fayte" Cowley, 82, of Mineral Wells, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009, in a Mineral Wells nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, at the Rock Creek Cemetery. Mr. Cowley was born July 24, 1926, in Palo Pinto County, the son of Wash and Jenny Shaw Cowley. He married Edith Bevers, May 10, 1947, in Palo Pinto County. She preceded him in death February 20, 2001. He retired from Cantex and began his ranching career. He was a member of the Palo Pinto County Sherriff's Posse and a Baptist. He is survived by a small, grief stricken family.
