He married Angie Estelle Webb October 30, 1948 and for 63 years they were by each other's side. He will be remembered by many for always being a good friend and neighbor. He was a self-taught man and had a natural ability to fix anything mechanical. Jack began his career as an automotive mechanic with the Moore Nash Company. He continued his professional career by working at Southern Airways, Hare and Finley Farm Equipment and for 18 years until his retirement was the maintenance supervisor for Perry Equipment Co. PECO. Jack's passion though was farming and ranching. He began farming with his father at a young age and his passion for farming never ended. He grew cotton and peanuts for many years. He was a charter member of the Millsap Peanut Co-op and the last bale of cotton to be ginned at Pate Gin in Perrin belonged to Jack. As this era of farming ended in Palo Pinto county, he continued to grow wheat and hay. Jack and Angie enjoyed their evening rides around the farm to check on their cattle and always made sure each one was accounted for. Jack loved his family dearly and showed that by tirelessly working to provide for them. He showed them the value of a strong work ethic and that continues on through his children and grandchildren.
