Kenneth Ray "Mac" McMinn, 86, of the Sturdivant Community, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in a Mineral Wells, TX hospital. Funeral services will be 4:30 PM Saturday, June 7, at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Michael George and Chris Brewer will officiate at the service. A visitation will be held at the funeral home 6-8 PM Friday. Kenneth was born June 26, 1928 in Mineral Wells, TX, the son of Roland Oscar and Dora Florence Forster McMinn. He attended and graduated from Sturdivant schools and was the sexton of the Sturdivant Cemetery for many years. He attended the Sturdivant Church of Christ. He married Mae Roy March 22, 1947 in the Sturdivant Community. He was a highway construction foreman for Zack Burkett Inc. and had retired from Illinois Tool Works in Mineral Wells. Survivors include his wife Mae McMinn of the Sturdivant Community; sons and daughters-in-law Roland (Snooker) and Marianne McMinn of Mineral Wells and Steven Ray and Sylvia McMinn of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Sean Freeman of Baton Rouge, LA, Carrie McMinn of Scottsdale, AZ, Marisa Martin and husband Cam of Mineral Wells and Monty Ray McMinn of Mineral Wells; great-grandchildren Kaylee Curtin and Alexis Martin of Mineral Wells, Courtney McMinn of Scottsdale, AZ, Sarah Freeman, Evan Freeman and Endsley Freeman of Baton Rouge, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Ralph McMinn in 1952, three sisters and two brothers. Burial will be in the Sturdivant cemetery with Danny Hogg, Clint Hogg, Bill Ramsey, Chris Curtin, Cam Martin and Eddie Williams serving as pallbearers.
