On Sunday, February 11, 2024, Keith Brien Riney, adoring husband and father of two daughters passed away peacefully in his home in Mineral Wells, Texas. Keith was born January 19, 1967, in El Paso, Texas to Frank E. Riney and Rosemary Riney. He graduated from Aledo High School and received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University.
Keith began his career with Walmart Stores, Inc. in Levelland, Texas as an Assistant Manager. One year later, Keith transferred to Walmart Store Planning and laddered his way for 31 years to retire as Director of Realty and Execution. Keith’s brand is marked with much more than his work. His family’s ranch was where Keith spent his leisure time. Every weekend was filled with labors of tending to the land and cattle. Keith’s delight in ranching was derived from his father as they both ran cattle in Mineral Wells. After Frank’s passing, Keith dedicated his life to the prosperity of his father’s land by continuing his legacy. His practice of hard work was an early discipline. Keith always lived with intentionality to align his actions, thoughts, and priorities with God’s purposes. In the summers, he gardened a variety of fruits and vegetables to provide for his family at home and at church. He enjoyed serving his church by caring for the prayer garden and sharing his aptitude for carpentry by restoring the chapel doors. Keith had remarkable plans of investment of himself within the community and taking his ranch operation to a new magnitude. Keith was a quiet man; he did not share his accomplishments or the good things he did. He was a humble man in every facet of his life. The life he led was lived purely by faith. Keith was committed to sharing God’s word solely by his actions. His time was hindered by God’s bigger plan of returning him home. He has left a legacy his family one-day desires to live out.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Frank E. Riney.
Keith is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters, Paige and Kristen Riney. Mother, Rosemary Riney; sister, Portia (Joe) Janucik; brothers, Phillip (Kenda) Riney and Kevin Riney; sister, Heather (Tommy) Moss; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
