Keith Wade Hughes

Keith Wade Hughes was born July 8, 1958 to his mother Marcelen Berglund and father Oskar Hughes in Baytown TX. He lived a full and resilient life filled with laughter and love until he passed away on February 14, 2025.

Keith was a master mechanic and jack of all trades. He loved the outdoors and took great pride in being an Eagle Scout. He attended Bloomington High School where he won awards for woodwork. He owned mechanic shops in Bloomington and Weatherford, Texas. There was nothing in this world that was unfixable. Everything had a how and why and he had to know it! He had an inquisitive mind and wanted to know how everything worked. He kept close contact with many of his high school and professional friends throughout the years. They all held a special place in his heart and kept his mind, body and spirits going. We'd like to thank you for that from the bottom of our hearts! Keith loved the Lord and was a Church of God member in his younger years until his health got bad and he could no longer attend. He still held his faith in our Lord and Jesus Savior.

Keith was a loving, compassionate, honest, jovial father and grandfather who always kept tabs on those he loved. Those that knew him know how he adored his children and his grandchildren! Keith always tried to get a laugh out of those around him. He was always trying to pull somebody's leg!

He loved fishing and hunting and he loved teaching these skills to his kids and grandchildren. He took great pride in being a true friend, dependable Dad-e-o and loving Pee Paw. He received and gave so much joy by taking the kids bowling, to putt-putt, golfing, fishing, hunting and of course he loved to see their need for speed on go carts. He loved motorcycles and anything with an engine so he was happy to see them rolling around on any wheels! He loved to create targets and let the kids pop a few BB rounds or practice some archery. He loved passing on his passions and knowledge to anyone that was willing to learn.

Preceded in death by daughter, Beverly Hughes; mother, Marcelen Berglund; and father Oskar Hughes; step parents, Lawrence Berglund and Dee Hughes; brothers, Michael Hughes and Van Hughes.
