Katie Dobbs

Katie Dobbs, 65, passed away March 27, 2018 at her home in Mineral Wells. She was born October 15, 1952 in Mineral Wells the daughter of J. D. and Afton Armstrong McCann. She was a longtime employee of Comet Cleaners in Mineral Wells. She was an active member of the Cityview Community Church. She sang the gospel hymns such as Supper Time and I'll Fly Away at local retirement communities with her friend Dave Grimm. Katie's love will endure through the countless lives she touched. Services will be 2 PM Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Cityview Community Church with Rev. Gary Word officiating. Burial will follow in Dilbeck Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her children: John Dobbs and Linda Turner, grandchildren: Tayana Poole and Ty Turner, great-grandson: Jacobe, and siblings and their spouses: Audene Brumbaugh, Irene and Clarence Melancon, Lillie and Kenny Murphy, Inez and Lupe Perez, Jake McCann, Kathy Armstrong, and Karen and Charles McGraw, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Haywood Dobbs, sister: Pauline Schulte, and brother: John L. McCann.
