Julian Rios III, 45, gained his wings on January 29, 2022, in Mineral Wells, Texas. Julian was born on February 8, 1976 in Carrizos Springs, Texas, to parents Frances and Julian Jr. He graduated from Crystal City High School. Julian was a devout Catholic and an active 4th Decree Knight in the Knights of Columbus in Duncanville, TX. Although in his later years he was unable to be outside and active due to health concerns; he loved sports and the outdoors. He was a big UT, Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and Texas Rangers fan. He loved God, traveling, music, movies and especially his friends and his family. He was a gentle giant that would do anything for anyone no questions asked.

Julian is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Maricela Rios; his children, Myra Barreiro and Colby Maynard; grandsons, Carter Maynard and Malcolm Maynard; Melba Martin and Willie Martin; Chuck England and Baylee Rodriguez; granddaughters, Audrey England, Olivia England, and Riley England; loyal service dog Buster, dog Panda, cat Kitty Kitty and bird Chu; Mother-in-law, Melba Gomez Barreiro; sister-in-law, Michelle Barreiro and brother-in-law Homer Burnet; nephew Christian Rodriguez and Bianca Espinoza; Margo Barreiro Taylor; nieces Kylie Taylor and great nieces Mya Guerra and Elise Guerra, Kyara Taylor; nephew Kaeden “Penguin” Taylor; Marlene Barreiro and John Urie, nephew Eli Urie. Mother, Frances Villarreal Rios & Robert Sepeda; sister, Yvonne R. Hernandez, nephew Jerry Hernandez Jr. and niece Kama Hernandez; sister, Yvette Velasquez and brother-in-law Mark Velasquez Sr., nieces Adrian Velasquez, Tristen Velasquez-Lincoln and husband Keith Lincoln, Morgan Velasquez and Mark Velasquez Jr.; brothers, Jesse Rios and Jason Rios; cousin Lupe Gonzalez and wife Micah Gonzalez, sons Xavier Gonzalez and Cruz Gonzalez and numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Julian Rios Sr., father Julian Rios Jr. and brother-in-law Jerry Hernandez Sr. and numerous loyal loving pets.

A rosary will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells, TX. Funeral services will be at 10am, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Mineral Wells, TX as well. Immediately following the services a reception will be held at the Crazy Water Hotel in the game room in Mineral Wells, TX and it will be a potluck lunch, if you would like to bring something, please do so. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Julian’s life. Flowers can be sent to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
