Julia Ann (Harmon) Gary, 58 left this life to be with the Lord on Friday, 14 Dec 2012, she died after a long battle with cancer. Services are at 3:00 pm on Saturday at 11th Ave Church Rev. Charles Mays officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Baum-Carlock- Bumgardner. There will be no interment.Julia A. Gary was born November 25, 1954 in Ft Smith Arkansas to Alvin Thomas "Jack" and Virgie Faye (Thurman) Harmon. Julia married Lee Allen Gary September 6, 1980 in Spencer Oklahoma. They are the parents of two sons Brandon Lee and Kyle Allen Gary. Julia graduated from High School in Jones Oklahoma in 1972. She was a volunteer for Family Support Center at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City Oklahoma. She volunteered for Special Olympics in Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Japan. Julia and Lee made their home in Mineral Wells in May of 1997 where they have been members of 11th Ave Church for many years.Julia is survived by her husband of 32 years Lee Allen and sons Brandon Lee Gary and his wife Bonnie and their son Genesis of Mineral Wells; Kyle Allen Gary and his fiancé Amber Sutcliff of Mineral Wells; her mother Virgie Harmon of Mineral Wells, her sister not by blood but by heartfelt love Marie and her husband John Pinder of Arlington; the Cooper family of Cushing Oklahoma; her Aunt Edna McGuire of Guymon Oklahoma; niece Teresa Ann Canada of Francis Oklahoma, and nephew Robert Thomas Rice of Francis Oklahoma. Julia is also survived by her brothers-in-law Donald Gary and his wife Juanita of San Antonio Texas; and Russell Gary and his wife Paula of Aurora Colorado; and James Gary and his wife Pamela of Clinton Oklahoma along with numerous nieces' nephews, cousins and numerous friends.Julia is preceded in death by her father Jack Harmon, Sister Jackie Faye Rice, and her grandmother Edith Cooper. A special thanks to Palo Pinto Nursing & Rehabilitation Center staff, nurses and aides also Dr. Singh and the staff of Solaris Hospice for their care and kindness. A special thanks to Jud Bruce Lively of Weatherford Texas for his special support and a few special angels who made her illness more bearable.In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be sent to 11th Ave Church.
