Juanita Tibbs Benge

Juanita Tibbs Benge, 91, passed away May 15, 2009 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. She was born October 5, 1917 in Mineral Wells the daughter of Joe and Mable Jones Tibbs. She was a lifetime resident of Mineral Wells and a lifetime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She married J. T. (Jake) Benge on December 24, 1933 in Mineral Wells. Graveside services were 11 AM Monday, May 18, 2009 at Woodland Park Cemetery with Rev. David Montoya officiating. She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Ellen Sue Benge of Mineral Wells, grandsons: Brad Benge of Houston, Barry and Brian Benge both of Mineral Wells, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister: Josephine McKay of Plano, and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 23, 1999 and her son: Tommy Benge on March 24, 2005. Donations may be made in her memory to Solaris Hospice or Calvary Baptist Church.
