Joyce Andre Carmichael Self, 73, of Santo, Tx beloved, wife, mother, and Granny, left this worldly earth to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 28. Joyce was raised in Guthrie, Oklahoma the daughter of Andy and Velma Carmichael. Joyce had many jobs throughout her life, but her most rewarding was taking care of her family. Joyce was the "Ultimate Spectator" and loved nothing more than watching the ones she loved participate in their various activities, be it livestock shows, rodeos, or sporting events. You would find her front and center cheering, with a purse full of anything you might need. If the game was a good one, she didn't even have to know anybody playing! The little gray haired lady in the stands cheering for both teams, was everyone's Granny. Joyce is survived by her best friend and love of her life, husband of 48 years, Tommy Self, of Santo, Tim & Cheryl Foster, of Antlers, Okla., Mike & Teresa Foster, of Gordon, Tx, Conni & Rod Foreman of Lipan, Tx, and Brenda and John Trammell, of Whitt, Tx. Grandchildren Josh & Caleb Foster, Kimberly Yandell, Ayla Rice, Cassie, Brooke, Ranch, & Bronc Foreman, and Ryan, Cory, & Ensley Trammell. Numerous great grandchildren and "Honorary Grandchildren" to anyone that wanted to call her Granny. Joyce was a member of the Eastern Star and played an instrumental role in the development of the Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan 30, 6-8pm at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner in Mineral Wells, Tx with funeral services on Friday, Jan 31, 2 pm at Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church in Santo, Tx (Hwy 281 S and FM 129).
