Josephine Pauline McKee, 86, of Graford, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009, in Mineral Wells. Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday at the St. Francis Catholic Church at Possum Kingdom Lake with Fr. Jeff Poirot officiating. Burial will be in the McAdams Cemetery with Dana Lenley, Jerry Russell Mitchell, II, James McKee, Jr., Bo Russell Lee, Brian Lemley, Jody Rogoski, Stephen Burleson and Ryan Wakefield serving as pallbearers and Johnny Lee, Jr., Larry Lemley, Jeff Lemley, Matt Rogoski and Kyle Nunley serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will begin 6 pm Wednesday with Rosary at 7.Josephine McKee was born November 30, 1921, in Dodson Prairie, Texas, the daughter of John and Pauline Byers Nowak. She married Leo Chester McKee and he preceded her in death December 1997. She was employed at the Graford ISD for 10 years and was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Catholic Church.Survivors include children: Johnny Lee McKee and wife Dolores of Graford, Patsy P. and husband Jerry Mitchell of Graford, Robert and wife Alena McKee of Graford, Laura J. and husband Royce Lee of Stephenville, Donna and husband Ronnie Lemley of Graford, Paula and husband Joe Rogoski of Mineral Wells, Michael McKee of Weatherford, Peggy and husband Kevin Kinder of Graford and Deanna and husband Eddie Wakefield of Graford; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred and wife Bobbie Nowak of Mineral Wells; sisters, Margarete Jackson of Graford and Kate Jenkins of Mineral Wells; brother, Ed Nowak of Graford; numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a Randy McKee, a grandson, Jimmy McKee, a son and Shane McKee, a grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
