Joseph McGowen

Joseph Edwin McGowen, 64, passed away January 2, 2015 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born October 11, 1950 in Missouri the son of Eddie McGowen and Eunice Crossland Schmidt. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells and attended Fairview Baptist Church. Services will be 2 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his nephew: Bobby Reedy, honorary daughter: Tracy Green, brother-in-law: Harlon Leatherman, step-father: Raymond Schmidt, best friend: Garry Ennis, and sister: Liz Huddleston all of Mineral Wells, sister: Elizabeth Foster of Athens, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters: Linda Leatherman and Wanda Benavides.
