Josefina Cortez

Josefina Cortez passed away suddenly at her home on December 23, 2013. She was born in Merkel, Texas on July 29, 1956; the daughter of Raymond and Manuela (Ribera) Ortiz. Josefina worked in retail management for many years. She loved her children and enjoyed time with them. She will be missed dearly by those she left behind: father Raymond Ortiz; sons John and Robert Cortez; brothers David, Christopher, Joe and Raymond Ortiz; sister Mary Nabarro Galvan and a grandson Christian Matthew Cortez. She was preceded in death by her mother, Manuela Ortiz. A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 2nd at 2PM in the funeral home chapel.
