Johnny Wharton

Johnny Paul Wharton Sr., 73, passed away October 7, 2017 in Fort Worth. He was born October 19, 1943 in Mineral Wells the son of Paul Herman and Mattie Lucille Piester Wharton. Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Dobbs Valley Cemetery. Visitation was Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Allan Smith, Bobby McDaniel, Danny Buckalew, Brent Fuller, Matt Door, Barry Benge, Terri Matthews, Mike Griffen, Lloyd Johns, and Keith Ragle. The honorary pallbearers are the Palo Pinto County Sherriff's Posse. He is survived by his wife: Robbie Wharton of Mineral Wells, sons and daughters-in-law: Johnny Wharton Jr. and Chloe Wharton of Santo, Shawn and Marla Wharton of Mineral Wells, daughters: Debra Wilson of Haltom City, Lori Wharton and fiancé Greg Young of Muleshoe, grandchildren: April and Ritchie Shaffer of Mineral Wells, Brady Wharton and girlfriend Heather Wilson of Stephenville, Trevor Wharton and girlfriend Chelsie Parker of Mineral Wells, Taylor Wharton and boyfriend Mary Yates of Stephenville, Callie Wharton and boyfriend Levi Gutierrez of Stephenville, Tatum Wharton of Mineral Wells, Cameron Young of Lubbock, Sunny Southern of Santo, Marshall, Whitney, and son Jett Judge of Azle, Mitchell Judge of Azle, great-grandchildren: Kinsler and Brayleigh Shaffer of Mineral Wells, and niece ad family: Melissa, Damon, Ethan, and Cash Hickman of Fort Worth.
