Johnny Joe Thomas

Johnny Joe Thomas, 73, passed away March 29, 2009 at his home in Millsap. He was born August 20, 1935 in Mineral Wells the son of Albert and Josie Hankins Thomas. He loved spending time with his family and reading western literature. He married Lynda Basham in May of 1961 in Mineral Wells and she preceded him in death on August 6, 1998. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Tony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Fortune Bend Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: John Thomas and Kimberly Sawyers of Millsap, Jody Thomas of Millsap, daughters and son-in-law: Michelle and Larry Savage of Millsap, Crystal Thomas of Oklahoma, grandchildren: Jacob and Haley Thomas of Fort Worth, Sara Sawyers, Jimmy Zane Thomas, Makayla Savage, and Brandon Savage all of Millsap, Zahara Thomas of Oklahoma, sisters: Jesse Logan of Cool, sisters: Elaine Thomas and Stevie Steiner both of Mineral Wells, brothers: Anthony Thomas of Millsap, Sandy Thomas of Cool, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and brother: Ernie Thomas.
