Johnnie Arthur Bricker passed away February 8, 2022 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Goodhope, Missouri, August 4, 1932, to Orla and Anna Bricker. Johnnie married Scharleen Robbins December 15, 1952; they recently celebrated their 69th anniversary. Johnnie served in the US Army during the Korean War 1952-1954 serving in France. He was a multi-talented man. He and Scharleen owned and operated various businesses over the years – The Beverage-Soda Pop Truck, mechanic shop and gas stations, convience store, Bricker Tire and Battery, and Bricker Woodworking.
Johnnie built many things throughout his life from rabbit traps to barns to homes, cabinets, cedar chests, swings, dining sets, and etc. But he also built character, work ethics, moral standards, and a large loving family.
Survivors include his wife, Scharleen Bricker; son, Jim Bricker and wife Donna; daughters, Sherry Ford, Kemberly Ragle, Susan DeArmond and husband Lonnie, and Niki Bricker; eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; 3 nephews; and 1 niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Wayne Bricker; brothers, Raymond Bricker and Tommy Bricker; sister, Irene Richards; and brother-in-law, Leroy Robbins.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Salesville Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Graford Cemetery.
