Johnnie Boyd

Johnnie A. Boyd, 60, passed away January 19, 2010 in a Big Spring nursing home. He was born October 6, 1949 in Snyder the son of John Elmer and Charlotte Christine Anderson Boyd. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad as a certified welder. He was a Baptist. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Barry Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his children: Jimmy Fox of Stephenville, Johnnie A Boyd II and fiancé Danielle Ashley of Mineral Wells, Charlotte Boyd of Mineral Wells, Colton Boyd of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: Emma Boyd and Cade Ashley, sisters: Nancy Stamey of Fort Worth, Deborah Harris of Strawn, great-aunt: Opal Marr of Bowie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
