Johnnie Lee Blakeley

Johnnie Lee Blakeley, 85, passed away February 27, 2015 in a Midland nursing home. She was born April 6, 1929 in Ropesville, Texas, the daughter of William Robert and Minnie Lee Kirby Durham. She married Joe McCracken Blakeley on August 18, 1945 in Mineral Wells. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells, and a lifetime member of the Mineral Wells Church of God. She was a past member of the Mineral Wells Woman's Club. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Mineral Wells Church of God. Burial will follow in Staggs Prairie Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. She is survived by her children and spouses: Barthina and Danny Smart of Midland, Terry and Melanie Blakeley of Mineral Wells, Randy and Maryann Blakeley of Perrin, grandchildren and spouses: Michael Dean and Melody Blakeley, Tonja and Chris White, Christopher and Leanna Blakeley, Steven and Marta Smart, and Katie Blakeley, great-grandchildren: Melissa and Lisa Blakeley, Thomas and Tyler White, Cagan and Maddison Blakeley, Caleb and Cara Smart, numerous step-grandchildren, daughter-in-law: Cindy Blakeley, and numerous other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Joe Blakeley, son: Joe Mike Blakeley, brother: Robert Durham, sister: Allie Loveless, and granddaughter: Sonja Crawford.
