John Montgomery

John Phillip "Big John" Montgomery, 78, passed away June 25, 2012 in a Mineral Wells nursing home. He was born August 2, 1933 in Jack County the son of Rush and Gladys Perkins Montgomery. He was a longtime resident of Palo Pinto County. He was a member of the Perrin Church of Christ. He was a fisherman. Services will be 10 AM Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Perrin Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Perrin Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Guy and Diana Montgomery of Mineral Wells, Lewis and Bonnie Montgomery of Joplin, sisters and brother-in-law: Lina Taylor of Mineral Wells, Louise and Doyle Olree of Palisade, Colorado, Dorothy Thorp of Mineral Wells, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister: Mildred Tipps. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Perrin Church of Christ in his memory.
