John Laws

John Alvin Laws Jr., 84, passed away February 8, 2010 in a Mineral Wells hospital. He was born July 26, 1925 in Carbondale, Illinois the son of John Alvin Sr. and Elsie Smith Laws. He was a policeman in Odessa, an Engineer at Bell Helicopter Aero Space Division, and a 50 year member of the Graford Masonic Lodge. As a hobby he built race cars. Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday, February 11, 2010 at LuQueen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife: Bertha Laws of Mineral Wells, son: Donald Ellis of Weatherford, daughter and son-in-law: Cassandra and Gary Scarborough of Mineral Wells, grandchildren: David Ellis, Don Bailey, and Bryan Scarborough, and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers.
