John Brooks

John H. Brooks, Jr. passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, in Palo Pinto. Memorial service celebrating John's life will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 3:00pm at the Indian Creek Baptist Church in Mineral Wells. survived by wife, Mary Louise McClure Brooks, Daughters, Donna Diane Ruddy and Husband Tommy, Terrie Lynn Wooten and Husband Ron. Three brothers: James Brooks & wife Betty, Jimmy Brooks & wife Gloria, Benny Brooks & wife Melva. Three sisters: Barbara Martin, Bonnie Price & husband Norm McCoy, and Linda Patterson and Longtime family and personal friend Cecil Gann. Special family friend Patsy Pugh and husband Dan. There are 10 Grandchildren including Monty Parker & wife Stephanie, Justin Parker, Colby Ruddy & wife Emily, Taren McLain & husband John, Ronnie Wooten, James Wooten & wife Melissa, Chrissie Watson & husband Randy, Kirk Ruddy & wife Claudia, Terry Ruddy & wife Jennie, Brady Ruddy & wife Ashley. Great Grandchildren include Jordan, Riggin, Kirsten, Christian, Aiden, Casen, Catie, Kellie, Cody, Kaitlyn, Paige, Skyler, Lillie, Clay & Chloe. Numerous nieces and nephews, including Goddaughter Nika Sha Schwertner; many Church families from Palo Pinto and Iran as well as close friends & relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Melissa Ann Brooks, and granddaughter Lynn Marie Wooten. In Lieu of flower the family asks donations to First Baptist Church of Palo Pinto @ P.O.
