Joe Tweed Trent

Joe Tweed Trent, Jr., 83, of Mineral Wells, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in Weatherford. Funeral services will be 3 pm Saturday at the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be his Masonic brothers.Mr. Trent was born July 1, 1926 in Rural Shade, Navarro County, TX, the son of Joe Tweed, Sr. and Annie Viola Quinn Trent. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran serving in the U. S. Navy. He married Betty Bolton, July 22, 1949 in Mineral Wells and was a maintenance supervisor at Can-Tex. He was a was a member of the Mineral Wells Masonic Lodge #611 and a Master Mason for over 50 years.Survivors include his wife, Betty Jo Trent of Mineral Wells; brothers, Elmer and family of Corsicana, Clayton and family of Freeport, C. A. and family of Hawkins, Doug and family from Allen; sister, June Abbie and family from Kerens; and more than 25 nieces and nephews. He will be missed by Fish Hook, his dog, numerous fishing buddies and many yellow catfish.
