Joe L. Chenault 80 of Mineral Wells passed away on August 14, 2011. Born in Haskell, the son of Jerome and Nellie Martin Chenault. Joe was a hard worker and enjoyed life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After retiring from the oil and gas industry as a pumper for Dallas Production he spent a lot of free time tinkering in his shed, he loved to work on things and could fix just about anything. He also collected tools, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a past member of the Lions and Pythians. Joe will dearly be missed by all the lives he touched. Survivors are wife Cora Knoop Chenault; daughters Betty Gipson, Marilynn and husband Harvey Ballinger and Beverly Fields; a sister Lola Ivans; grandchildren Tommy and wife Tammy Royer, Timmy and wife Davett Royer, Stephanie and husband John Gober, Misty Ballinger, Kim and husband Lee Letts; along with numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents and 1 sister. The family will provide a memorial service on Wednesday August 17,2011 11:00 AM at Mineral Wells Pythian Lodge on SE 6th ave.
