Jobeth Creighton Montgomery, 88, passed away June 14, 2013 in a Weatherford hospital. She was born August 9, 1924 in Decatur the daughter of Philip R. and Lee Rita Roberts Baits. She married John R. Creighton on December 23, 1947. She married James Paul Montgomery on May 8, 1992 in Fort Worth. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells. She graduated from Del Rio High School in 1941. She received her BBA from the University of Texas in Austin in 1947 and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She set up the payroll section of the Civil Service at Ft. Wolters in 1950. She was a real estate broker from 1960-1964. She had her Certified Master Broker Designation from 1964-1965. She was the DE and VOE Coordinator at Mineral Wells High School from 1964-1971. She worked at several accounting firms in Mineral Wells from 1973 until she retired in 1989. She was a member of the Palo Pinto General Hospital Auxiliary from 1987 to the present. She received her pilot's license in 1967. Memorial services will be 10 AM Tuesday June 18, 2013 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Caren and Brock Haynes of Brock, granddaughters: Heather Frederick and husband Matt of Fort Worth, Holly Haynes and Maris Sisco of Fort Worth, great-grandchild: Addison Frederick, step-daughter: Judy Anderson and husband Dan of Mineral Wells, nephews: Will Creighton of Austin, Kenny Creighton and wife Kay of Fort Worth, and Mark Creighton and wife Mildred of Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands: John R. Creighton on February 15, 2006 and James Paul Montgomery on June 18, 2002. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Palo Pinto General Hospital Auxiliary or the American Diabetes Association.
