Joan Fisher Guess, 77, passed away November 28, 2012 at her home in Lone Camp peacefully with Addy by her side and loved ones surrounding her. We weren't ready to let her go but the Lord said come home your work here is done. She was born February 9, 1935 in Springtown the daughter of James Wash and Amy Bell Seaberry Newkirk. She was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells but recently resided in Lone Camp with her daughter. Services will be 2 PM Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Lone Camp Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be J. K. Sims, Philip Benson, Casey Moore, Joshua Moore, Chad Hill, and Rocky Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Robert Sanders Sr., Tommy Fisher, Clyde Guess, daughters: Phyllis Benson, Martha Moore, Freida Valley, and granddaughters: Shelly Renae Blake, and Mendi Rae Price. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Shane Slimp of Lone Camp, Donna Mitchell of Fort Worth, Sharon and Johnny Colton of Baytown, sons and daughter-in-law: Freddy Fisher and Goldie McCall of Dayton, Robert Jr. and Pam Sanders of Mount Belview, Ronnie Moore of Red Ranger, Andrew Valley of Mesquite, 23 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and a host of friends.
